So i found this old trim buried under piles of dirt, grease and cobwebs and I believe it goes in the bathroom. What other room would you paint pink, navy blue, sea foam green and then white?

The house was built in 1901 with NO bathroom. With all the modern convenience we have now in 2024, I can’t imagine what life was like with no indoor plumbing. Definitely stronger people back then.

I am not sure when the bathroom was added, but sometime before 1951 when my husband’s grandparents bought the house.

So my challenge is to save this trim. But my question is how?

I loved seeing all of the different colors it was painted throughout the years, and kinda think it would be cool to just seal, leaving the history and story the trim tells.

You can see some of the original woodwork in the rest of the house in my first blog titled 1901 Farmhouse Remodel.

Give me your thoughts and ideas!
